Easy Jalapeno Popper Dip
Easy Jalapeno Popper Dip is a great game day appetizer perfect for the Super Bowl! It’s creamy, spicy and super easy to pull together!
The end of football season is rapidly approaching and it’s hitting me right in the feels. I definitely didn’t get my share of hot wings and chips & dip yet! For that reason, I want to bring you guys one final recipe this season just in time for the Super Bowl.
Today’s new recipe is all about my favorite appetizer, Jalapeno Poppers, in the form of a dip. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Jalapenos
- Whipped cream cheese (you can also use regular just make sure its softened)
- Ranch dressing
- Bacon
- Cheddar Cheese
- Spices
- Ritz Crackers (you can also use panko bread crumbs)
- Butter
- Parmesan cheese
Sounds simple enough, right? The key is to first sweat down the jalapeno prior to mixing everything together. It takes a little bit of the “bite” out so the dip isn’t too spicy. Then cream cheese for the “creamy” factor, ranch to cool everything down, garlic for the “zing” and bacon for the… well just because bacon. Top everything off with a buttery cracker crumble! Check out the full recipe below.
True confession: My team never makes it to the Super Bowl so I don’t really care who wins.. I’m just there for the Doritos commercials anyways. Speaking of Doritos, I just had an epiphany. If you’re feeling festive, you could substitute those in for the Ritz Cracker topping. SAY WHAT?! Now we’re just talking crazy.
