No-Bake Hot Cocoa Treats
No-Bake Hot Cocoa Treats are an easy holiday dessert and the perfect way to get your hot chocolate fix no matter the time of year! Kids and grown-ups alike love these chocolate cereal treats. Give them a try at your next family party or package them up to spread a little Christmas cheer!
A few weeks ago as the world was experiencing the first signs of winter, it was still 80 degrees in Florida. I started thinking of all the wonderful cold weather traditions that we so often miss out on. I never get enough hot chocolate or backyard bonfires and it just doesn’t seem fair. But one thing I do get to enjoy every winter is baking up holiday treats and sharing them with my neighbors and work family. I love to put together little packages of assorted goodies to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. This year, I got a little creative with my offerings.
It’s a Marshmallow World in the Winter
I’m pretty sure everyone reading this can think back to eight years old, piling mounds of marshmallows into a mug of hot cocoa or even skipping the cocoa all together. Who am I kidding, I still do that. Its a well-known fact that the only thing better than a marshmallow is a marshmallow cereal treat. That’s why I so eagerly came up with the idea for these No-Bake Hot Cocoa Treats. Well, that and I love to include a no-bake option when making multiple desserts. It saves me time and adds a little variety to the mix.
These NEXT LEVEL hot cocoa treats only require 6 ingredients! They are made with cocoa puff cereal, marshmallows, semi-sweet chocolate morsels, white chocolate morsels and the special ingredient, cinnamon. The cinnamon is what makes these taste like hot cocoa rather than just a chocolate treat. They are sticky, chewy and rich, a trifecta of goodness that will transport you back to childhood.

Side note: earlier this week, I sent boxes of goodies home with some of my colleagues. One girlfriend sent me a text explaining that her four year old daughter asked,”Can Kelsey can make me another cocoa treat?” Obviously I’ll be sending home another batch before Christmas 😉
Happy No-Baking!
